Archfiends
My archfiends are embedded under my angel skin,
Bathing in my veins to hinder blood flow to my heart
They twist and manifest into my darkness and desire
We cannot be forcefully pulled apart
One is shaped like a man, his only name is Anger
His voice is violent ocean waves on jagged rock
His morality is dimmer than the moonless sky,
Anger screams; he does not talk
Another is shaped like a child, whose name is Regret
Her cowardly motives leave us weeping together
She heaves and breathes when she sprints from memories
She cries throughout the night when they find her
One is a succubus with the lovely hands of a goddess.
With her heart on her sleeve, she searches the night.
She knows that every move she makes will be wrong,
but she doesn't wish to be right.
The archfiends under my thin skin, my demons,
You can see them clearly when you stare within.
I'd remove them without hesitation, I've tried before,
But it's arduous to fight; save me, I'm worn thin
