An Ode To A Lost Chance
Your glimmering eyes and generous sparkling smiles,
All the butterflies flutter when we exchanged hi's,
Donning the army printed tee you looked so fly,
Boy, you're so versatile,
After five days, I never wish to bid goodbye.
This could be an infamous infatuation elusive,
But perhaps the wait would be worthwhile,
Maybe someday we'll meet again,
in a similar music festival terrain,
maybe next time it'll be both our gains.
These cliches are generally mundane, but when the time is genuinely fitting,
despite knowing the thin chances,
I wouldn't risk letting you slip away,
without knowing your name.
