Midnight's Awakening
Slowly is she drugged
By the taunting clock that beckons her future ;
Words scrambling within her jig sawed mind.
She hears a woman somewhere near,
A voice ringing in her eardrums
Until everything is gone.
She follows the voices
That ask her how she came,
Blindly reaching for the wall beside her
Until the flicker of a light is visible in the darkness.
Her pupils fixate
As she nears the source.
As he nears the candlelight,
A figure stands in a doorway of awakening
As a woman with features similar to hers waves goodbye
And everything goes black.
