You’re scared
Your fear is taking over
Soon you’ll be like us
As soon as the day has night
You’re quivering and shaking
Why are you so frightened?
We’re all just waiting for your arrival
We’ve made you a nice warm coffin
The trees cast shadows on the graves
As twilight starts to dawn in
They make you flinch at every noise
And slowly you loose yourself
That’s right
It’s safe here in the ground
Where your soul has just been taken
Lie down now and rest
For your life has just been wasted
Wasted on entertainment
And toys and football games
But now you’ll see that
All of this was only just a silly dream
No need for any belongings anymore
They’d just rot underground
Along with your decaying body
Welcome home dear neighbor
We’ve been waiting

The author's comments:
I was really bored one day and passed by a graveyard, so I decided to write a poem about it.
