I watch
as you admit
to the blank pages
your darkest fears
and watch them fill up
word
by
word

until your sins are spelled out
in
Onyx.
Black.
Ink.

You write until
your demons dance
pas de deux
across the page,

and streams
of secrets intertwine
with every new syllable.

You spill your heart
into an empty book
because the only thing
worse
than meeting
your
demons
would be to lock
them
inside you
and
throw
out
the
key.

I understand
your need to stain
the paper’s
white innocence
with
Onyx.
Black.
Ink,

because I, too,
have watched
as secrets
waltzed
inside my veins,
and I need you to know
that
I won’t judge you
if you have
to
bleed.

Thank you! It makes me really happy to know that people are reading my writing; This website is so large that it sometimes feels like it gets lost inside of the void. Although that void is made up of poems and such, so I can't say that it's a too bad place to be. Anyway, have a nice night, I really appreciate the support!

I read this poem today in my Creative Writing Class. I thought it was so well written!! You did such a great job putting into words what it feels like for some of us. I know personally I have tried to describe this feeling many a time and all of them fall short of your wonderful poem I just read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am planning to check out the rest of your work. I'm sure it'll be just as good!
