The Dark

They say we aren't afraid
Of the dark,
Just simply of the unknown,
But that would mean
We fear
The next page of a book
Or a loading computer.
A covered object even.
I believe we as humans fear the dark
For society associates it with demons
And our own
We are too scred to face.
