Something Happened
It is worse than death, it’s worse than war, it’s even worse than the Jersey Shore.
I lost my phone.
I lost my beautiful IPhone, and along with it, my favorite case.
It’s all alone in the world. No buzz, no ring, no updates or reminders.
I can’t read about the “amazing chicken” my friends got at Panda Express.
I can’t check to see if someone’s status goes from single to in a relationship (or back to single).
I can’t even check to see what time my train is going to arrive at my stop.
I can’t watch funny videos of cats playing piano, or send snapchats of my crossed eyes and double chin.
My Instagram won’t be full of #selfies or #photobombs.
My birds aren’t angry, my burgers don’t fall from the sky, and my surfboard doesn’t glide across train tracks.
I can’t answer any of my texts, or calls- so maybe 2 people won’t get a “hey” back…
My pride and precious has disappeared.
It has left me in the dust.
It has waved goodbye, sayonara, adios.
I can’t believe it,
But SOMETHING HAPPENED.
