surely too many palpitations
too fast
too frequently
they will surely put a strain
on the heart.
surely too many times spent
holding breath
remaining motionless
they will surely put a strain
on the lungs.
surely too many tremors
running along fingers
running along palms
they will surely put a strain
on the bones.
surely im going to explode
fly apart
dissolve
into dust
disappear into the infinite, unfeeling emptiness of the universe.
surely, i will cease to be. certainly.
