They and I
I used to be what I am
I was afraid of no man
I was considered
But now I am damned
I was visible and I was quite a sight
But that has been lost and it's hard to fight
I've been cast out
There's no room for doubt
No one to hear if I decide to shout
They say
My methods are eccentric
My sayings paradoxic
They've uprooted my being
And turned it to ashes
Sometimes I rage
Sometimes I cry
But now I just wonder why
And I know
It was no sham and it was no lie
Because I will learn to fly high
For the world is made every day
And I shall be born once again
