From Flight
The land lies silent
A complex menagerie of mountains and colors
Laid out under dusk's grey shadows
Sunset cutting through the soft grey darkness
As swaths of light spread across the landscape's contours
Like hallway light
through the crack of a bedroom door
To admire an impressionist painting
One has to step back and view the whole piece
Before the brushstrokes form a picture
To admire the earth
One has to view it from the skies
for the lives to form a life
