On My Way to Newyork and Back
I’m on my way to New York City.
Where the buildings scrape the sky,
And the busy natives will pass you by.
I’m on my way to my first home.
This home I've made vague memory’s with
when I step foot their, like a jar, I will open its lid.
To receive the full New York experience just as it is.
Coming back from New York City.
Boy, am I glad to leave that experience far behind me!
Their were so many one way streets it was very difficult to find our hotel.
the streets were named by numbers and slashes which made it a concrete hell.
The subways with cramped and stuffy, and the air really smelled.
We also crashed are rental car, nearly missing our plane.
If I had stayed in that city any longer I certainly would not be sane.
I did get to visit the statue of liberty, riding my first ferry.
I visited several museums, And I went a of fancy restaurants.
So in the end my trip was sort of fun, but I'm very glad its over and done.
