Vivid
Five senses so tense you can almost smell green
Eyes so focused this life isn’t what it seems
Your lungs burn with each breath it envelopes the air
Your heart beats, your mind shrieks, to speak you wouldn’t dare
You move a finger and the joint rubs bone on bone
In a world so full of people you live a life alone
The beating of your heart thuds in your eardrum
The wrinkles on your palm spread almost like a hum
Of the blood that runs through each and every vein
A soul so vivid, so wild, it could never be tame
