Life's Encyclopedia
On life:
The average lifespan is around 27,375 days. Your telomeres
shorten and your cells wither. Important
DNA strands lost in oblivion.
On the Human:
A structure made from stars. Governed by electrical
and magnetic impulses. A combination of structure
and fluidity. A being meant to change and innovate
On History:
An old African proverb says
Until the lion has a historian, the chase will always
be told by the hunter
On Mutation:
An extra chromosome, a replaced nucleotide, an abnormal
protein, these can change the future. It straddles
the border between genius and ignorance. The choice
it makes is not for us to choose.
On Food:
He wandered from street to street, stomach acid looking
for something to devour. He passed a family run
restaurant. He left with a silent stomach, and cursed
the franchise supermarkets.
On Sports:
For a short while the world is united
a universal love for the game. Dreams fail and
goals succeed. One team, one country
returns home in triumph, fans roaring
and children celebrating around statues.
On Music:
Complex but brilliant,
Relaxation and occupation. It is for pleasure
and work, and not to be taken lightly.
It tries to capture the spectrum of emotion, which
is why music keeps emerging.
On Skateboarding:
Fun and easy, not really.
Time to perfect, as with anything worth investing effort into.
To be used as comfort or ease, a hobby or a lifetime of dedication, it’s an example that
lazy people are the smartest people, people who decided walking was too much and
decided to put wheels on a board.
On Wi-Fi:
Non-existent in the previous generation, the 8th wonder of
the world. I wonder if there’s Wi-Fi in heaven.
If there is, I need a new phone and the password.
I wonder if it’s compatible with AT&T or Verizon. Maybe it only rings in hell.
On Sleep:
Past experiences or subconscious thoughts, I don’t know.
It feels like time
travel. I go from night
to day in an instant.
