If the whole world was blind, how many people would you impress?

Love is like a flower
Some days, it blooms
and spreads its colorful, majestic petals
like a tulip in the beginning of spring.

Other days,
it withers up, shrinking inside itself
faster than an orchid
caught in the frosty bite of winter.

Where do we stand
today?

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem when I was in the 8th grade, before I knew anything about love.

As you can see, this was my first time submitting a piece here, so it was nice to hear some positive feedback. :)

Very pretty, reminds me of my Morning Glory Flower I grew a while back; they bloom and die in the same day, and are often compared to love. Well..I am random today. Oh well. :) Nice poem, I hope I get to read more from you ;)
