No magic beans for dinner
Its two o’clock in the morning
Long after Cinderella has gone to bed
And no fairy godmother tonight
No magic beans for dinner
No magic it wand for me to wave
There is no magic coming
To save me from this doom
I am alone and I must climb
This jagged mountain on my own
I hug my sword as I try to sleep
But my demons surround my shelter
And there’s no flying carpet to whisk me away
No potion that I may drink
No wizard to save me now
There is no magic coming
To save me from this doom
I am alone and I must climb
This jagged mountain on my own
As morning light filters through
I grab my shield and weapons
I must go out on my own
Because there is prince on a white horse
No spell for me to cast
No ruby slippers to take me away
And while the earth may crumble under my feet
I must continue on
There is no magic coming
To save me from this doom
I am alone and I must climb
This jagged mountain on my own
Because I am no Cinderella
