No Butterflies
When you're around,
it feels like my heart is beating out of my chest.
As you come closer,
there is a force telling me to run and hide,
but I'm frozen in your stare,
as we are face to face,
your hand takes my hand,
and fear takes loves place.
Hands around my waist,
and you pull me close.
you lean in,
for just a little taste,
and I close my eyes,
no more butterflies.
