Pretentious diction
You wrap words around your tongue
And twist them into cruelty
You feel a surge of power as you watch people drown
In your demoralizing words
Watching it eat them up inside
You like to see self doubt fill up in their eyes
You see the world beneath you
In wit, status and worth
Everyone knows it's not true
But no one will step forward and defend the masses
you are safe and sound
because the vessel that harvests this demented perspective
every rotten fiber is masked by a pretty face
