Love to Rapunzel
Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your long hair,
for I am a prince, and for you shall I care.
No matter the when, whatever the where,
If you need me, I will be there.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long locks,
for you and I should converse in many romantic talks.
Maybe we can reach down, and take off our socks,
so we can have lunch with our feet in the pond, on the docks.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long mane,
for either your hair is a beauty, or I've gone insane.
Please do not ignore me, that is hardly humane.
I have fallen in love, but that has addled my brain.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long fluff.
If I rescue you from your tower, will that be enough?
Or will you pretend to love me, create a bluff,
and then abandon me to cry and huff?
Never mind that, Rapunzel, just toss down your strands.
From then I'll braid it into a rope of silky sand.
I shall help you climb down, hand under hand,
so we can run, glad and free, into the lands.
