World of 1st and 3rd
Immensity,
shrivelled,
and perished inside;
the only sustenance
to swell my stomach.
Eternally choking on
desolation,
must it be so harsh to swallow? My
only foundation so
gradually chipped away,
piece
by
piece;
morsel
by
morsel.
Skeletal fingers reaching,
echoing through the
lifeless air,
fumbling over darkness.
So resilient is our weakness;
my life stolen through
the fittest.
Mounting,
step
by
step,
cruel grasp,
loose footing.
Slow pull,
fast
fall.
Maybe I will
sleep at home
tonight.
Recent memories;
I should not accept
the obscurity of
nightfall.
