Old World Blues
The white mountains stood before me,
Impossibly large,
Impossibly gigantic,
From an age centuries past,
Now crumbled to ruin.
They told me this reached the stars,
Left this dismally empty world for new ones,
Broke the sky and touch the moon,
It was so hard to believe.
I looked at it for a while longer,
Wondering how something so huge had actually flown in the sky,
After a spell I left,
Left the old world for the new,
There were already enough questions in this one.
