Beneath the Surface
October 21, 2014
My pencil treads
lightly to ensure the
impermanence of my words.
I am often too afraid
they will stain these pages,
and tarnish them of
their purity.
So I let them sit
softly, knowing that they’ll
fade quickly, wiped
away, fleeting thoughts,
claimed again by
the universe,
when they disappear.
