Origami Fleet
Gently rocking
paper boats float,
sending sweet sounds
to the wind, telling
nature’s tall tales and
rhymes sung harmoniously.
We wait, as the blue ripples
tremble with the sky.
And counting on my fingers
the minutes before it will
arrive, I realize that mine
won’t, by any means,
win the race. It’s okay
though, I only folded it
this morning.
