Bringers of War
December babies--bringers of war,
my friend tells me, and June
brings misfortune. March, it brings
laziness, though that only seems
applicable to a few people I know.
Rioting, feuds, in a cold, bitter month.
A collection of thirty-one days reserved
for holiday shopping and dinner parties.
Could it cause so much strife?
Or are we just busy warring over
who gets first dibs on Santa's cookies?
