I just wanted to say

  I just wanted to say
  I love you.
  I need you.
  I cannot live without you.
And I don’t know how else to say it.
Or even if there is a better way.
I only know that I have to say it
  Even though I’m scared
Even though I feel like life is against us
Even though I don’t know if we will make it.
I don’t care that those statements make me vulnerable
I just want to hold you close
  And jump
Deep into life with you by my side
I want to marvel at the earth’s beauty holding your hand
Dance with you in a flurry of snowflakes
Walk through a forest with you and watch the autumn leaves fall
Lay in spring grass with you
Swim through the ocean with you when the sun oppresses us
I just want to kiss you
So deeply you forget the seasons
So deeply you know nothing but my lips
So deeply you can taste that my love is true.
  So having said that
Please do not break my heart.
Please do not wound me with this knowledge.
Please leave me whole or better than before
I beg of you, do not mock my vulnerability.
Only love me as I love you
  With everything that you are.
