Sick Mind
I have found a new muse-
who holds home in the softness of his eyes.
His arms entangle with mine
as the feeling of darkness is numbed-
for but a moment.
Raw flesh
forged together;
The sweetness in your touch.
Even Winter’s knocking
was dulled in your presence.
But-help!
For I am no heart handler
whose sorrows drift through the leaden tips of derogatory pencils.
My mind is sick
and my ribs ache in the wind
with Autumn’s leaves collecting on my pigment
and a flicker of light
cadenced in my eyes.
