Anxiety
He told me it’s like living in the dark
  You can’t see anything
  Your eyes are blindfolded
Oblivious to what is breathing on your neck
  And trickling down your spine
Fear grabs your heart and tugs it from your chest
  You bleed crimson
Your blood soaks your shirt but you can’t see it
And you can’t stop the waterfall that cascades from the hole in your chest
  Because you’re paralyzed by fear
You don’t know what lurks in the darkness
What cruel reality is ready to spring at you with chomping jaws
  You finally break
As voices start screaming at you in your head to GET A GRIP!
That’s when you crumple in the darkness
You curl up in a tight ball
  Rocking back and forth
Wishing for everything to just melt away into obscurity
And for you to just pass out and die
  But you can’t die
Even with your heart ripped out you’re alive in this immortal nightmare
  Blind in this shadowy existence
Forever living a panic attack on a repeated loop
