A natural pathway paved by the ages of water and sunlight
The road stretches to the far horizon between the tall grasses
Ancient winds and undying rays from the sun
Have carved out this road in the unending fields
A mystery in that no mind understands how it formed
For it is certain that there is nothing artificial about it
100% natural, it must be a work of mother Earth
Unexplainable but undeniable
The wind blows through the road in the evening
In the fall, winter, spring, and summer
It grazes the dirt hardened by the timeless years
Between the verdant tall grasses on both sides
Open under the sky and clouds
It receives abundant amounts of rainfall
But only to be eroded more by the clouds’ assault
And baked and scorched by the heat of the sun
Where does this road lead?
Nobody knows
Countless adventurous beings have set out
To discover what is beyond the flat horizon
But none have returned to share their stories
It has always been a one-way road
So the destination remains a secret
Which only nature itself is aware of
Perhaps a victorious figure will appear in the distance
One day, running back toward home
A day of great enlightenment that would be
But it has yet to come.
