She Believed

He told her that she was worthless.
She believed Him.
He told her that she was ugly, unlovable.
And with her self-confidence level,
she believed Him.
He told her that she didn't deserve what he gave her
she believed Him.
He told her he'd love her anyway,
and, despite her doubt,
she believed Him.
He told her that He'd give her something
and He did.
But He wasn't what she thought
He was.
she believed in Him
she believed Him
Because He told her to.
And now,
she's dead.
