Tidal Wave
This tidal wave, stronger than the ripple I expected
It’s not over, maybe it never will
I’m caught, struggling, screaming, as I’m turned end over end
In this seemingly unending whirlpool
Yearning for relief, but sadly that’s not today.
Even if the sun were to dry up these pools
The warped landscape would remain, scorched by reminders
This land forever molded
A broken replica of what it used to be
My heart a crumbling fossil within
