I Wish
You’re there
  But I’m over here
                                           I wish
  you come
  and hold me close
                                           I wish
  you’d come and whisper
  sweet things in my ear
and tell me you love me
I wish
you'd come
  and kiss me
  And hug me close
  And I’d say
  I love you too
  And we’d kiss some more
  forgetting about the beforetime
  When we were shy
  with
  broken
    hearts
     from
      our
     past
    mistakes
  that
  had never healed
  We mend each others
  fragile hearts
  with a kiss
  and sweet
  loving words
I Wish
  I love you
  I love you too
  Here you come
  across the room
  You smile and say hello
  and I say hello too
  I ask you
  how you
    are
  While the whole time
  My foolish heart
  cries out for you
  to mend
  my fragile heart
  and for me to mend
  yours
  But the cries go unheard
and my heart is still broken
for now
