Across The Sink
  Pain in your eyes
  A perfect match to mine
  The silence speaking volumes
  Your lips move
  But no sound comes out
  I stand shocked
As tears roll down my face
  Sorry cannot fix this
  I love you isn’t enough
When your heart lays on the ground in front of you
Crushed, and dark red blood stains the sidewalk
  I should feel pain…
  Right?
  Anger… Something
  This numbness surely isn’t right
  Then again, neither am I
Unless I have you by my side
  The love of my life
  But you're gone
  I feel no emotion
  Wait, shouldn’t that scare me?
I stare at the girl across from me
  She looks so broken, empty
There is no life in her eyes
Her skin has paled and she’s beyond skin and bones
Blinking the same time as I
  Slowly she mirrors my actions
Reaching up with her left hand
And as it meets with the glass
Shock crosses her face, with confusion and pain
  Then. Realization
  A mirror
As I see that the girl across the sink
  Is me
