Show me a family of readers and I will show you the people who will change the world.

I refill my glass everyday.

I fill it all the way to the top.

It's filled with energy to pass away.

I wish I could keep it all to myself.

The days pass and I keep filling it less.

My eyes drop and so does my smile.

Will I have to confess?

Will I have to say what's really going on?

I need to take a break.

I need to refill it all the way to the top.

Life's to short to be fake.

But, people keep asking me to go places.

I begin to have a short fuse.

I can't handle myself.

How can I refuse?

How can I make myself take a break?

Finally, people just stop asking.

I dont know rather to be happy or sad.

All the sudden, my cofidence starts lacking.

Is there anyway I can ever be able to win?

My glass filled all the way to the top once more,

after I took a short break for myself.

My eyes got brighter; but it was quite a bore

when I realized it was about to begin again.

I think the form and format are very nice, but this would have been better without the rhyming effort. However, it is very nice.

I love how you use the glass analogy, very excellent poem. I also love how the words roll off my tongue so easily :) Nice work.

I love the poem, it's a great representation of an internal struggle. There were a few grammatical errors but what really matters is the message! x

Your poem is super relatable and conveys great emotion. My only suggestion is to make sure you don't use the same words repeatedly. Try finding synonyms to replace words like "fill" and "refill". Other than that, nice work.

I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions. - James Michener

I love this! I'm guessing you're an introvert. ;) My favorite lines are: " I need to refill it all the way to the top./ Life's to short to be fake." Great job!

To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.

This is a lovely poem, and so well thought out! I love the metaphor. It's a really relatable poem, and somehow, really pretty. If I had to nit-pick, I'd say maybe pay a little more attention to grammar; for example, lacking is used as a verb here, when really, it should be used an adjective meaning deficient.

Loved the cycle and the rhythm kept within it. I also like how realistic and relatable it is. How, I only have one thing, and that's to make it longer. Other than that, it was absolutely beautiful! :)
