There.
Forever behind the birch woods and yellowing plantations
A lake
Foggy, freezing, and shielded by the dark night skies
Lies
Safe, Quiet, Home

And in that lake that lures us to its endless depth
A white board
A white wind board whose light color radiates in the dark world
Rests
And Glides and cradles us and sings us the peaceful song as it fights off
Trembles
Of waves fighting a war they cannot win
They want us
But we are here, out of grasp, protected,
Together
Safe, Quiet, Home

The cool windy air grasps for our limbs
Pulling
But we cannot be taken away, we are untouchable
The white board
It holds all five of us away from the evil tides
Away
Because we are its youngest treasures, its finest generation, its only family
Forever
Safe, Quiet, Home

This is my family, my closest friends
My cousins
Who sit beside my twin sister and me upon our white wind board, all different ages
Growing up
Changing in a complex, hungry world that wants nothing more than to make us separate
But how can we?
How can we move, float, change our course, in a white wind board without a mast?
We can
Drift here for as long as we like, letting the wind and waves carry us, fall days are still far away
Stay
Here in our own world, our own place, our own kingdom
Infinite.

We are Safe, Quiet, Home.
