My Body And Life
My body is alluring;
Privileged with the nativity it will unfold,
The emptied cavern core it had defended in years of battle,
The sharpness and venom it once grasped in a rusty-red hold,
My body is forbidden,
Because it could lose everything in the effort to imagine something new,
Because it is a womb and a church and a sea,
Because it is for me,
My body is temptatious
Because it is strong limbs and silky blood and sweet tangy skin,
And because it is a body only for me.
My body is captivity,
A seduction, really,
Exclusively, for me.
