This is my promise to you, my friend
Your heart belongs to no one.
Only you have control.
You know nothing of love
For you are too young.
A seed is planted in your heart
At it starts to grow and blossom,
But all that you have ever known
Is heartbreak after heartbreak,
The little blossom wilts
For she loves you little
And is too immature.
How can she know what you think or feel?
She has no knowledge,
And maybe, that is good,
To not grow up too fast.
To live a little younger,
To give love a little patience.
Let it blossom on its own.
You will have someone someday
Who will love you for you,
And will never let you feel alone.
This is my promise to you, my friend.
