You should feel so lucky

The sun left stains
of red, pink, and orange
across the midnight sky
The stars trailed
the sunlit sky,
and put the day to rest
And in the glimmering moonlight
I realized how amazing
it is to truly be alive
And maybe you don’t know
the beauty of actually being
But under the glowing
sky, bathed in moonlight,
I’d never felt more alive
And my god,
you should feel so lucky
to feel the same.
