How Could Someone Ever Forget
You glance over and you see
The little kid face you want to love for centuries
When you see his big blue eyes
You remember that kid 10 years ago you were always afraid to come by
You look again just to make sure and as your eyes meet his
You realize he is almost half the distance to you
You exchange hellos
You ask how his life as been up until now
He tells you all about it like its broken record
You feel like you’ve heard it a million times
Then you smile because you know you have

I was inspired to write this by a little old man who was telling me a story he said, was "from 100 years ago" and it inspired me to write a piece that stemmed from his story in just a 100 words
