her eyes
her eyes like diamonds
the glitter and the gleam
her eyes were so perfect
like that of a spring flower on a sunny day
there was nothing more perfect
they had me under a spell from the second
I laid my gaze upon them
but people didn't see the same things I did
they tormented and antagonized
tears filled those gleaming eyes
that once glowed like rays of sunshine
now were gloomy like a rainy day
they had lost their shine
but it didn't matter to me because
I thought that she was perfect
she couldn't see that though
all she saw was the negative
that others had treated her with
