How Do I Write a Poem?
How do I write a poem,
By throwing words onto a page?
Should I make some type of statement,
Or give up in content?
How am I supposed to know,
If I have never done one before.
Would it be easier if I was more literate,
Or if I had a larger vocab?
Could I be better if I opened myself up,
If I spit my feelings out onto a page?
What if I stood up and sung what I felt
As if I was on a Broadway show stage?
Would i be any better then?
Or would anything even change?
Even if I tried my hardest,
Would I still be faced with a big, fat F!
Thrown down in disgust,
From a still, only average poem.
Thrown away like trash
Because I still cannot write.
