Hold Me, Daddy

First time you held me
I was a tiny pink bundle of warmth
Second time you held my hand
As I wobbled out my first few steps
Third time you hold me steady
As I peddle on my two-wheel bike
Fourth time you hold me tight
Before you leave me alone in my dorm.
Fifth time you're holding on to my arm
Handing me off to the man I love.
Sixth time I'm holding your hand
As tears stream and I say good-bye.
