Redundancy
As my fingers hit these keys
the click clack of education’s weakening knees
drowning in the pounding of feeling I’m being failed
the opportunity to expand my mind
beyond
cramming for tests in order to be the best
the Socialistic drone that our government confesses
is ruining our creativity and our sense of dignity
What must I do to truly feel I’m free?
Endless bells ringing and pointless homework grades
It’s just a shaky and flawed system that is waiting to be played
We could be learning elsewhere
helping people get off of welfare
We’re stalling, going nowhere
are we different from yesterday?
But don’t misunderstand me
I fully support the structure
of living ones life from one point to another
but let that person decide their own path or righteousness
Encourage self fulfillment instead of trying to fight it
