No one understands
No one feels the grief I hold
Imagine
The pain I feel as I collect the souls
The fallen soldiers
The sick children
The mothers
The fathers
Everyone thinks that I’m cold
Callous
No one sees the tears that I cry
The guilt that I feel as I tear another family apart
“Don’t be afraid”
Whispered words
Warm hands
Pulling me to you
I was you once
I used to fear the idea of dying
Until I became it
And I understand
I understand Death
I understand why people think the way they do
And I pity them
Because they don’t know…
