How To Take A Walk

Smile at strangers,
reach down to pet dogs,
wave to your neighbors.
Don’t pluck at the flowers.
Don’t pull at the leaves.
Don’t stomp on the ants passing by.
Make drawings with chalk
on the side of the road,
and color outside of the lines.
Feel the breeze in your hair,
and the sun on your skin,
and just
keep
walking.
