Daydreaming
While faced with the constant reality,
that I will not be going anywhere soon,
The idea of travel leads me to places,
With white sand beaches and clear shallow waters,
In these places there is no worry of a lack of excitement,
For each day is its own adventure.
Sunsets of blush hues,
Across the salty sea,
Keep smiles on those who came,
for the same reason as I.
With new faces and unfamiliar sights,
I am left refreshed from just a single day,
Spent doing the things that would be impossible at home,
I can't yet imagine being a place but here,
Though I will grow tired of this coastal daydream,
And be faced with reality once more.
