The Tale of Twilight
By the letter of my human hands,
Do I write the tale of me.
How I came to this dreary land,
How its beauty I learned to seek.
The solitude I was exiled to,
Bloomed into friends and foes,
A pale and sallow creature came through,
And by far intrigued me most.
His ignorance stung me quick,
My words were mild and meek,
His defenses, so sharp and thick,
Were the ones that made me weak.
By the stars I slept at night,
While he watched wide awake,
His secrets he still held onto tight,
But the walls I could break.
His eyes, deep and mysterious,
So sparkling and alive,
Made me all the more curious,
I only hope I will survive.
