Wonder
  I live in a world
That I myself have yet to imagine.
  Where the wild roam free
  And magic still exists.
  In every little thing,
  I wish for the extraordinary.
In the corner of my eye I see fairies
And in dandelions I find wishes.
  I accompany an elfish prince
  To a carnival
  Where people fly
  And strange creatures prove
  Their existence.
I come home into a new world-
  A peaceful, courageous world,
In which I am all I crave to be
  And everyone and everything
  Is full of wonder.
And it is not so much that I wake,
  As I fall asleep,
  When I leave this dream,
  Because reality seems less real
  In comparison.
Maybe I read too many books
  And watch too many movies,
  But what is
  Is sometimes not enough.
  Where are the wandering nomads?
And where have the little sprites gone?
Now all I’m left with is the sound of my breath
And the sight of an empty room.
