Writer's Block
I can’t think of what to write,
I’m fishing for them, but the words won’t bite.
I doodle in the margin,
But no thoughts will barge in.
My paper is looking blank,
And there is nothing left in my idea bank.
I need to think of something new,
Maybe I should try a haiku!
The clock is ticking fast
As I wonder if my writer’s block will last.
Okay, no more distraction,
This paper needs more action.
I can’t think or breathe or write
And it is giving me a fright.
My ideas I can’t seem to pin,
As the writer’s block goes for the win.
My brain’s gears I am trying to crank,
But all they have done is clank.
I have nothing left that I can do,
No more words for me to spew.
No ideas from this world so vast,
And no writing spell that I can cast.
This writing session won’t end with satisfaction,
No, not even a fraction.
My pencil is scratching,
But no words will come to play.
I suppose I should save my writing
For another day.
