As I awake in the tall, soft, savanna grass,
I look around to lock eyes with one of my own…
All I see is empty land across the horizon,
No family no friends . . . lonely, sad and anxious.
Looking around, fear begins to set in
I realize it’s just me...
The silence is deafening.
The herd is gone...no parents, siblings or friends.
Gazing up, I see a creature in a tree
As it is pointing a long barrel at me...
Boom...Boom...Boom…
My heart stops I'm with my family now.
