Love and Laughs
Pain and Sorrow
My Grandpa
and uncle were all of these
But,
for my grandpa
cancer
cancer took over
And tore my family down.
Then craziness and drugs
took over my uncle
which tore a hole
through my family.
The craziness was so bad
it would sometimes
bring my grandparents to tears
and have my grandpa
begging my grandma
to give my uncle more money,
but then the drug use got worse
then it ended.
White
a white light
so bright it was blinding
from the doors of heaven opening
to take my uncle away
from the suffering he went through.
Then the doors slammed shut
and darkness rolls over again.
Years pass
and the cancer becomes too much
for my Grandpa to fight.
As it spreads to the brain
the craziness comes out in him too
and Death stands over him
waiting for the time to come.
As the sand in the hourglass
of my grandpa’s life is almost gone
he starts to shut down
becoming unresponsive
then just starts fading away.
The door eventually opens once again
with the same bright white light
still glowing ever brighter
and my uncle standing there waiting.
As my grandpas body becomes lifeless
and tears start to fall.
The doors close once again
we all know they are together once and for all.
