Every girl has a fantasy that some guy will come sweep her off her feet

That it’ll be like the movies,
and the books

That you’ll fall in love and get married
That he’ll be tall, dark and handsome
maybe he’ll have a southern accent
We’re all thinking he needs to be romantic
It would be a plus if he was rich too…
With a house, a car, and some nice hair too.
He’s gotta be polite, and he can’t be crude
and it just so happens that most of our childhood dreams say he should be a prince
and
Our teenage dream say he should be famous

But I don’t want all that…
I want someone that fits me.
He’s gotta be taller than me
but I don’t care by how much

He needs to be nice and caring
I’’d love it if he was handsome

He should make me feel special and cared for
He has to love animals and children too
because I want a big family
horses and cats and dogs
It would be helpful if he wanted to live on a farm
because that’s what I want

But he should have spunk and comebacks
He shouldn’t take my crap
he should be sarcastic and outgoing

But most of all…..He should love me
…….
as much as I love him

because than the rest will fall into place, even if
he doesn’t love sports like I do
Or he doesn’t understand my love for,
reading and writing.
Maybe he hates cats, even though I love them

But it shouldn’t matter.
Our love should be strong enough to conquer all
Even my hopes and dreams for what he would be
Even the fairytales
and the judgmental stares.
